2004 Cobra Conversion For Sale : 1998 SVT Cobra

admin | 1998 Terminator Cobra, Cars For Sale | Saturday, June 14th, 2008

It’s true. After all of the blood sweat and tears we’ve poured into this project - it is bitter-sweet to announce Project Terminator is for sale.

It began in January of 2006. We were sitting around the table tossing out ideas for the next project. We already had the 1998 Cobra in the stable - it had proven itself as a fantastic car. At that time, we were considering a 5.0 upgrade on the Teksid-blocked 4.6. Then the phone rang. Someone bit on one of our feelers, and a 2004 Cobra with only 14,000 miles had just checked into junkyard. Meeting adjourned.

The goal was to build a street friendly car with perfect manners in traffic - that would be able to unleash monster power on demand. The result is a perfectly tame, 3400lb can of Whoop-ass. (And one hella-fun to drive sleeper.) Every wire, connector, accessory, and sensor in the car has been upgraded to a 2004. The interior remains stock 1998 Cobra with the exception of the 2004 Cobra Dash, Center console, and Stereo.

We’ve spent hundreds of hours on this car - and documented every step of the way. The new owner will receive copies of all the photos and video. Plus, you’ll get to point your friends to all of the articles and features we’ve produced for the car on InertiaSport.com. Video of Dyno Tune by Scott Beer at Diablosport.

With the Current tune (set for roadcourse) the car makes 461 HP and 471 TQ at the wheels.

Asking $18,350

Car is located in South Palm Beach County, FL

  • Whats the asking price? The car looks sweet. Is that rear bumper the cobra bumper? I don’t see the dual tips & cutouts
