Finally! We scoured the internet looking for a solution to our fender woes. With the new 275 Toyo Proxies up front, combined with an increased track and offset from our Griggs/MM front suspension, we were left pulling our hair out trying to find a fender solution that would let the tire clear the fender. We found many partial posts, and a couple of manufacturers that promised the perfect solution - but nobody had a step-by-step how to on flared fenders for the Mustang Coupe. Until now. read more

We were stuck. Always stuck. (In-between gears that is) We had a great time flogging Coupé de Whore around Sebring for the recent SVTOA weekend – but we’re tired of peddling the battle weary Tremec 3550. It just isn’t up to the task anymore. It won’t downshift from 4th to 3rd without a complicated dance in and out of the second gear shift-gate – and staying in 3rd gear on an up-shift was a crapshoot. Sometimes it held, but more often it would pop out. The over-revving and double clutching to regain a slipped gear entertained the corner workers in turns 10, 13 and 17. Good times.
We’ll probably throw a rebuild on our 3550 and keep it as a backup – but we really needed a technical knockout.

Our 1990 LX Coupe has always had one annoying little oil leak. We finally tore into it and see what the problem was. Unfortunately our “fix” left us with a bigger problem. Thanks for the fine workmanship Henry. read more

We could all use a little more grip. The more we enhance suspension performance and driving technique – the easier it is to point at a smaller contact patch for holding us back. We’ve been planning this upgrade – to a 275/40/17 wheel and tire combination for quite a while. The Fox Mustang platform doesn’t allow for this upgrade in stock form, so we haven’t been in a hurry to make the necessary modifications, but we stumbled across a used combo that was too good to pass up. Luckily, we had our camera handy when the sparks began to fly.
