LSX 6-bolt F-Body: 4 Inch Exhaust
We’ve got a surprise for you. We’d like you to meet Bad Muthafucka. Sort of. This is our mysteriously secret project street/strip car that may (or may not) turn out to be an Fbody in your neighborhood soon. This is our test to see if we can get a Bajillion horsepower out of the new LSX Iron Block 6-bolt hotness. No, we won’t show you the car yet. But take a peek at our sexy new exhaust…
We’ll have tons of technical details soon about our LSX Iron Block project. Let’s just say our horsepower plans are ambitious. We know this is going to be a fire-breathing Mutha, so we couldn’t skimp on the exhaust. We had great success with the American Racing Headers on the C6 Z06, and gave them the nod for this install as well (Thanks Nick!). The full length long tube headers have fat 2-inch primaries, and feed into a whopping 4-inch collector.
The exhaust funnels into an enormous Y-pipe and single 4-inch exhaust (sans catalytic converters). The big bend rising up over the axle is just ridiculous looking. I don’t think they used that much pipeline in Alaska. From the Y-pipe back is the www.mufflex-performance.com system.
The firebreath is then fed through a cavernous Flowmaster single muffler, and single 4-inch down tube. Our Inertiasport neighbors are really going to be delighted. We were so excited to see the man in the brown van - we had to immediately spread out the system and take some snapshots. We’ll have a future writeup about fit, finish, and installation tips. Stay tuned bitches.
